In addition to the two other assignment types, "T" (Trip Only), and "A" (All-In), there is now a third assignment type: "V" ("VIP").

VIP might stand for "Very Important Person" or "Very Important Payload", depending on whether it's a passenger assignment or cargo assignment.

VIP Assignments will charter the aircraft for exclusive use.  When selecting a VIP assignment, no other assignments may be in your MyFlight queue (to include the holding area).  VIP Assignments are not concerned with aircraft type, so you may use any available aircraft, owned or rented.

VIP Assignments will use the same expiry logic as all other black assignments. Some will be designated as "Lightning Bolt" assignments, which means that there will be no expiration extension when landing at an enroute airport.  Otherwise, the traditional 21-day extension will be grated.  As with all assignments, an additional 24 hours is automatically added when selecting the assignment.

Note for locating these jobs: These assignments can be identified on the FSE Airport pages by the "V" in the TYPE column.  This column is also provided in various assignment Data Feeds, so 3rd Party Tools will also be able to distinguish these types of assignments.  Some 3rd Party tools might require an update by the various developers before they display these.  An in-game search option is on the drawing board.

Note for group flights:  These assignments can NOT be added to group queues.  However, individual group members can select the job and then "fly for the group", allowing the group to cover expenses and provide the delivering pilot with the group's selected pilot-pay. If the group member subsequently cancels the assignment, whether still at the origin or at an enroute airport, the VIP assignment will be cancelled out to the airport page and returned to the public.

Discussion Note: it has long been a wish-list item that certain assignments simply not be mixed with other assignments.  It makes no sense for an Air Ambulance patient to land enroute to the hospital and pick up a traveling salesman simply because the other FSE assignment "is going in the same direction". Over the course of the next few weeks, expect several of these existing job types (that should not be mixed-n-matched) to be converted to VIP type jobs.  The first conversion is the "Patient Transfer" jobs.  Several of these should be popping up across the FSE globe. Additionally, new assignments will appear that make sense to have exclusive use of an aircraft.
